Ceramic Plant Marker Workshop with Foxy Pots

When: Tuesday, April 24th, 6pm-8pm

In this workshop, you will create your very own set of six ceramic plant markers—all supplies included!

Enjoy an evening in our welcoming vintage shop while you build beautiful plant markers out of clay! Local ceramicist Kris Wright of Foxy Pots will instruct you on basic hand-building techniques and guide you as you create six custom ceramic plant markers to place in your potted plants or even outside! 

Each student will receive a three pound slab of clay and use hand tools to create a set of six plant markers. Kris will provide rubber clay stamps (with multiple designs) and lettering stamps (in three different fonts) for students to design and adorn their markers.

After the workshop, Kris will take the markers to her studio, fire them in her kiln, and return them to Retro Den for pick-up on or before May 15th. 

Your markers can simply state your plant name or you can get creative with the likes of "water me," "don't die," "plant lady." The sky is the limit, folks. Get creative and start brainstorming today!
