Giant spools have played a major role in my life since college when we used to eat dinner at one on our porch. We also use spools with casters ("spool dollies") at the shop to move furniture. That's why it only seemed fitting that this week Caroline and I rolled a giant spool onto our patio and turned it into a plant stand for our succulent collection. I love seeing this view from my living room too. Yay for giant spools! -Palmer

This is the home of one of our home styling clients this week. Based on her homework and Pinterest board for our session, we worked hard to marry her eye for sparkle and modern pieces to her love and appreciation for eclecticism and history. It was a really fun session, and we are so excited to keep building on her plans. That orange quilt you see on the sofa is headed towards some minor repairs and then getting framed into a giant piece of art. The client's husband's grandmother handmade this quilt along with dozens of other quilts. How fun to take a piece of history and frame it as a modern art piece!

Hello! It's been a busy, weird week! We took our girls, baby Jack, and our spouses to a fun fourth of July party in the prettiest apartment. (We'll make a home tour happen at this place soon!) Our little girls swam, hung out with some "big girls," ate chicken nuggets shaped like dinosaurs, and watched fireworks. Basically, lived the dream. We had two home styling clients this week–the one from the photo above was an all-day session, and we talked our way into their attic and closets where we found hoards of handmade quilts and artwork. We love telling clients to bring out the things they love and that we can incorporate into their decor. Homes are meant to tell us the story of ourselves–where we've been and who we want to be, and it's our great joy to work with people to make their spaces serve them in this way. Hope you've had a fun, interesting week too. Enjoy the beautiful interior design content below!

This tiny boho apartment is bursting with color and charm.

And this round room has so much going for it. The colors, the leaning artwork, the plant life. Sigh.

This home feels so fresh and unexpected.

And those stairs! Gosh, the sofa and brick patterns together is the best ever.

You know how we feel about green kitchens.

Who's up for painting geometric shapes on their walls? Daly painted a headboard on her bedroom wall. She's so on trend.

Who doesn't love the Golden Girls? Or a good before and after?

Collected and colorful– just how we like them.

But yet, I love it that brown is a primary color in this home.
