We are proud to officially introduce our upholsterer, friend and mother of Ashley Palmer: Janie Schneider. Janie started her business, Janie's Upholstery, in the back room of our shop last fall. She not only redoes pieces from the Retro Den showroom floor, but also pieces from your home.

We wanted to share Janie's beautiful handy-work with you. She amazes us daily with gorgeous furniture transformations such as the curved-back tufted sofa she took from 1970s velvet green to classic linen gray. Go ahead, take a look. It's good. Really good

We wanted to thank everyone who came to and supported the Alliday holiday market and party we had a few weeks ago. Early in 2014, when Alliday founder and coordinator Briana Hefley approached us to host her holiday market at our shop, we didn't know what exactly would go down, but we knew it would be good. And it really was. Briana, we adore you. We got all our gift shopping done in one stop, met so many kind and talented people, and had a reason to wear glorious vintage-inspired dresses- that's a great event!
